Forrest Benson has worked at all levels of public school education as a teacher, counselor and administrator. Related to sales and marketing he actively developed many Buffalo Public School district wide programs requiring extensive promotion, public awareness and engagement with local businesses. Most recently he assisted in redesigning BPS adult job readiness and internship program, expanding his consulting and training business and editing new editions of his three books.
He has been an active adjunct faculty member at Canisius College, Buffalo State, and D’Youville College for 15 years teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in learning theory, educational psychology, human growth and development, and group dynamics. Forrest Benson has received extensive cutting edge training from top leaders in the fields of neuroscience and high performance learning and behaviors.
His innovative ideas lead to being the recipient of a United States Department of Education National Program of Excellence Award (an awards akin to the Malcolm Baldridge Award in Business), and a New York State Department of Education Validated Program recognition.
His work appeared in: The Journal of Educational Psychology, Child Study Journal, Double Day Press, ERIC, New York State Education Department publications, and the proceedings of national and regional conferences such as the American Education Research Association, American Psychological Association, and American School Counselor Association. He has appeared on many local cable, radio and television talk shows.
Today’s presentation is based on his training manual and soon to be book “Empowerment with Emotional Strategies – a crash course for high performance”
